After winning two straight games on the road, Memphis women’s basketball returns to Elma Roane Fieldhouse to take on the Ball State Cardinals, kicking off a four-game homestand. The Tigers’ offense was ice cold, shooting 24% from the field in the first half and 31% for the game. Between the offensive struggles and Ball State’s dominance on the glass, the visitors proved to be too much for Memphis as it drops another home game 83-59.

On Monday afternoon, Memphis women’s soccer learned its fate during the NCAA Selection Show. The Tigers were given a seventh seed and are set to host Illinois on Saturday, despite the fact that they are the only undefeated team in the country (the loss in the semifinals was counted as a draw because it went to penalty kicks).
