The University of Memphis Art Museum hosted an opening reception Sept. 6 for “Visual Arts of Mexico,” a new exhibit celebrating the country’s artistic heritage from pre-Columbian times to the modern day.

The show was curated and installed by UofM students Maria Jose and Keeton Brown, with support from fellow students and museum staff. The collection features a wide range of works that highlight the richness of Mexican art and culture.

The exhibition will remain on display through Oct. 25. Admission to the museum is free and open to the public.
