'As It Is in Heaven' to premiere Sept. 25 at University of Memphis

A story about eight women navigating life in an 1830s Shaker community, shaken by the arrival of a newcomer who claims to see angels, will soon take the stage at the University of Memphis.

“As It Is in Heaven” by Arlene Hutton will premiere Sept. 25-28 in the Edward and Bernice Humphreys Theater Building. Performances run Thursday through Saturday at 7:30 p.m., with doors opening at 7 p.m.

Tickets are $25 for adults and $20 for seniors and non-University of Memphis students. University of Memphis students, faculty and staff receive one complimentary ticket each.

Free parking will be available at 3854 Central Ave. during performances with the code 29411#.
