It was announced on Sunday afternoon that Memphis Football will play North Carolina State in the Gasparilla Bowl in Tampa, Florida on Dec 19.

The Tigers will look to increase their bowl winning streak to five games in a row. They are also trying to get a third straight bowl win over a power-conference team. With a win, the Tigers can end the season with a record of 9-4. It would be the ninth nine-win season in program history.

It is important to note that, despite the Tigers hiring Charles Huff earlier this week, defensive backs coach Reggie Howard will serve as the interim head coach for Memphis for this game.

The Gasparilla Bowl will kick off at 1:30 p.m. CT on ESPN.
