Women’s tennis earns 15 at Samford Round Robin

The University of Memphis women’s tennis team came away with 15 wins at the Samford Round Robin in Birmingham, Alabama over the weekend.

On the first day of the tournament, Sofia Mykhailets and Emma Dvorackova beat Nera Tesankic/Julia Cafferena 6-1. In addition, Rebecca Frant and Maria Paz Ospina defeated West Alabama 6-1.  

On the second day, the Tigers won four individual matches over UAB and one match over Michigan State. Day three was full of individual wins from Mykhailets, Mall, Dvorackova and Natalia Koppova against MSU. 

The Tigers will return to competition on October 16th in the ITA Central Regional in Norman, Oklahoma.
