TULSA, Ok. - No. 9 Memphis women’s soccer traveled to Tulsa to take on the Golden Hurricane, allowing only three shots from the home team in a 1-0 win Thursday night.
This win marks the Tigers’ tenth of the year and keeps them as one of only five teams left in the country who are unbeaten. With just five games left in the regular season, Memphis is in full control of its destiny for the NCAA Tournament.
The lone goal for the Tigers came in the 40th minute when junior defender Finley Lavin drilled a penalty kick in the left side of the net after senior forward Flavie Dubé was fouled in the box by Tatum Sanders, Tulsa’s keeper.
The Tigers will return to Park Avenue Campus to start a two-game homestand when they play host to North Texas Thursday at 7 p.m. The game will be streamed live on ESPN+.
