SAN ANTONIO, Tx. – No.4 Memphis women’s soccer took to the road one final time in the regular season to play the UTSA Roadrunners for just the third time ever, stifling the home team 2-0.
The Tigers only allowed their opponents to register four shots for the entire match while putting up 17 themselves, 10 of which being on goal. The ones that found home for Memphis came in the 25th minute by Elise Perron and in the 75th by Evelyn Mackay, which is the first of her career.
This result marks the 14th win of the year for Memphis and sets up a little bit more history to be made with a win or tie in its next match—the first undefeated regular season since the 2011-12 campaign.
The Tigers will be back home for their final match of the regular season against Temple on Sunday at noon CT. The game will also be streamed live on ESPN+.
