Predators Extend Point Streak to 15 Games

The Nashville Predators extended their point streak to 15 games as they won a dominant 8-2 blowout win over the San Jose Sharks Tuesday.

Nashville notched its 40th win of the season and they are 13-0-2 during their point streak, tying a team record in that span. The last time the Preds went on a 15-game point streak was from February 19, 2018, to March 19, 2018.

Roman Josi and Filip Forsberg each had a three-point game (1 goal, 2 assists) while Juuse Saros made 18 saves on 20 shots faced in net in the win. The Predators haven't lost a game since February 15th, 2024 (which was a 9-2 loss to the Dallas Stars)

Roman Josi gave the Preds a 1-0 lead on a one-timer play from the point off a pass from Ryan McDonagh.

Mikael Granlund, the former Predator, tied the game at one a piece with a wrist shot from the right circle, going top shelf past the glove of Saros. This set the game all knotted up going into the first intermission.

Mario Ferraro gave the Sharks their first lead of the night with a wrist shot from the top of the right circle.

Jason Zucker tied things up at two a piece, scoring his second goal as a Nashville Predator after being acquired at the deadline. This was his first home game as a Predator, and he tapped in a loose puck in the net after it trickled past Sharks goalie Magnus Chrona.

Michael McCarron gave the Predators the lead back, scoring on the rebound out in front of the net. 2:24 later, Luke Evangelista would score an unreal goal, making a forehand-to-backhand deke and roofed the puck past Chrona. The Predators would have a two-goal lead at the end of the second period.

In the third period, the Predators would go off, scoring four goals in the period from Michael McCarron (notching his 2nd of the night), Mark Jankowski, Filip Forsberg, and Tommy Novak to put this game out of reach. The Predators would go on to win 8-2 against San Jose.

The Predators head to Florida for their next game Thursday where they would look to set a new team record point streak by extending their point streak to 16 games. The puck drops at 6:30 p.m. on ESPN+/Hulu.
