Sexual assault at Carpenter Apartments

 

A 19-year-old female was assaulted on campus at the Carpenter Apartments, according to a report filed on April 2 by officer James Greenleaf. The victim contacted the assailant via social media and invited him to her apartment, according to the report. Police are looking for a 26-year-old Asian male suspect. The case is still under investigation.

 

 

Laptop stolen from student’s dorm

A student found his laptop taken from his dorm at South Hall on April 1, according to a report filed by Lieutenant Anthony Black. The student left his dorm room door unlocked and went to class, according to the report. When he returned at 8 p.m., his H.P. Laptop had been taken. No suspects have been found.

 

 

 

 

Intoxicated driver found at Park Avenue Campus

Assuming that a driver was lost, campus police pulled over and then arrested a 36-year-old man on April 1, according to a report filed by officer Tina Crowe. The driver sat at a stop sign with his signal lights on for a long time, according to the report. He then drove westbound on north Park Loop and turned into a driveway at 4055 North Park Avenue Loop with the high beams on. When the officers approached the driver he was “confused with bloodshot eyes, slurred speech and a strong odor of intoxicants,” according to the report. The driver was arrested and charged with public intoxication, DUI and driving without a license. He was transported to 201 Poplar.

 

$63 stolen from faculty member’s debit card

A faculty member lost her debit card while at Tiger Den, according to a report filed by officer Claude Berry. Between March 24 and March 26 the faculty member found nearly $63 stolen from her account, with a list of charges primarily from South Hall on campus. The victim cancelled her card and no other charged were found in her account, according to the report. No suspects have been identified.
