I have recently seen injustice at this University.
When the students here are very unfair to the faculty, there is something that needs to be said.
Well, I am the one saying it.
It is beside the point that the teaching staff here is mostly teaching assistants because the budget will not allow for more professors. They are teachers who are willing to give up their time to teach us information that will only help us.
I cannot believe what I experienced in my Saturday class last week.
Maybe it was my parents that taught me respect, but however I acquired this knowledge, I have used it to the best of my ability -- unlike some students in the classroom Saturday.
Granted, there are some teachers that are more lackadaisical then others, but the ones that put their hearts out there for their students do not need to be talked down to, called inappropriate names or "flipped off".
I think it is extremely inappropriate to call your instructor a "bitch" in the middle of class.
These students were amazed that our instructor actually was offended by this and made a statement to the class.
I am not the model student, but I know that if I were in this teacher's place, I would not have been so nice.
To the students that day who made the inappropriate comments: I cannot believe your parents did not teach you better, that you have to put someone else down to make yourself feel better.
A word of advice from one student to another, GROW UP!
