"I feel like he’s been childish. It seems like he’s holding the government hostage. He’s holding America hostage because he can’t get his way. People think just by him shutting the government down is going to stop certain things. It’s like a triple effect, there are levels to it. First, FDA is out, and then if it’s shut down long enough it can trickle down to the city. What are we going to do without our cops? What are we going to do without our firemen? It’s just messed up because everybody doesn’t know the other effects that the government shutdown can cause. It doesn’t seem so large now, but there are more effects to it. It can get worse. We can go into a whole recession because he wants to be petty, because he can’t get a wall.

Mexico told him they wouldn’t fund it. Why would you think the country you’re trying to block out is going to help fund the wall that you want? It’s not like it’s a mutual agreement. It’s not like this is a relationship and you go 50-50. Mexico doesn’t want the wall, you want the wall.

He should pay for it, he was a billionaire before he became president. I know he has billions, trillions put away. Put your own personal money into the wall if you want a wall. Stop taking it from us when most Americans really don’t want it.

We owe so many other countries, we don’t have money to build a wall."
