Women’s soccer dominates American Conference’s annual honors

On Sunday, the American Conference released its annual honors list, and Memphis was all over the place, picking up six individual awards and 13 selections to the various all-conference teams.

Here are all of the Tigers who received recognition:

Defensive Player of the Year: Finley Lavin

Offensive Player of the Year: Ashley Henderson

Midfielder of the Year: Ai Kitagawa*

Goalkeeper of the Year: Abby Kudla

Co-Freshman of the Year: Ellis Kelly

Coaching Staff of the Year: Memphis

All-Conference First Team: Flavie Dubé, Ashley Henderson*, Ai Kitagawa*, Abby Kudla and Finley Lavin*

All-Conference Second Team: Ally Casey and Elise Perron

All-Conference Third Team: Mihiro Furuya, Alex Mackay and Evelyn Mackay

All-Conference Freshman Team: Mihiro Furuya*, Yuna Nagata and Ellis Kelly*

*Denotes unanimous selection

Memphis will be back in action on Monday to start its American Conference tournament run against ECU at 6:30. The game will be streamed on ESPN+.
