LEXINGTON, Ky. - No. 6 Memphis Rifle beat No. 1 Kentucky on Saturday, winning with an aggregate score of 4715-4705 on Saturday.
Memphis started off with a strong smallbore relay, winning 2346-2329. Freshman Emmet Bodrogi led the way shooting 591.
Memphis was barely beaten in the Air Rifle relay, 2376-2369. Sophomore Kenlee Ewton and Junior Gabriela Zych both performed well for the Tigers. Ewton shot a team-high 595 while Zych shot 594.
Four out of the top five individual performances were from Memphis players. Bodrogi finished second with 1183, Zych finished third with 1180 and Ewton finished fourth with 1180. Katrina Demerle and Megan Jaros both finished inside the top ten as well, at 7th with 1172 and at 10th with 1166.
