The Memphis volleyball team earned their tenth win of the season Wednesday night at Elma Roane Fieldhouse, defeating Alabama A&M in straight sets.
The Tigers used a pair of 3-0 runs to take control of the first set, ultimately winning the set 25-17. Memphis dominated the second set, going on a 12-0 run and winning 25-13. The third set was a battle, with both teams trading points. Tied at 23, Memphis' Sydney Marshall clinched the victory of the Tigers, earning two points to end the set 25-23.
Freshman Zaniah Hoskins led the Tigers with 12 kills and 15 points. She now leads Memphis in kills on the season with 282. This match marked the Tigers first win since Sep. 26 against Tulane.
Memphis will look to keep the momentum going when they take on Tulsa Friday night at 7 p.m. at Elma Roane Fieldhouse. The match will be streamed on ESPN+.
