GREENVILLE, N.C. – The Memphis Tigers women’s soccer team (13-0-2) defeated the East Carolina Pirates (5-6-3) 5-0 at Bill Clark Homes Field at Johnson Stadium on Sunday morning.

Winners of their last five games, this game marked an important win, as this victory secured the regular season conference championship for the Tigers. This is the third straight regular season title for the Tigers and sets the Tigers up to be the No.1 seed in the American Conference Tournament, which starts on November 3.

The Tigers defense stood out in this match as they held the Pirates scoreless for the entire game. The offense was also a bright spot, as the Tigers scored five goals and attempted 14 shots on goal, as opposed to only one shot on goal for East Carolina.  Ashley Henderson, Ally Casey, Flavie Dubé and Mihiro Furuya all recorded goals for the Tigers in a lopsided affair.

The Memphis Tigers will be on the road on Thursday at 7:00 p.m. to face UTSA. The game will be streamed on ESPN+.
