Men’s tennis finishes in the semifinals in Battle of the Plains

Auburn, Ala.- The University of Memphis men’s tennis team closed out the Battle of the Plains tournament in the semifinals at Yarbrough Tennis Center on Sunday night.  

On the first day of the Battle of the Plains tournament, hosted by Auburn University, Sam Reeve and Lasse Rensing beat UAB in their beginning match. The duo went on to take a 1-0 lead against South Alabama after getting a 6-3 win in doubles.   

In the final day of the Battle of the Plains, Sam Reeve and Lasse Rensing fell to Lipscomb on Sunday afternoon. Meanwhile, Luis Sandoval Carvalho and Marko Milosavljevic beat a duo from North Alabama and subsequently bested Lachlan Brain/Satoru Nakajima as well.  

The Tigers will return to action on Wednesday in the ITA Central Regional in Norman, Oklahoma.
