TULSA, Okla. - It was a banner day for the Memphis men's tennis program, as Tiger teammates Maxime Dubouch and Marcos Castro Fabra faced off against each other in the American Conference Individual Championship Finals Sunday in Tulsa.

Dubouch defeated Fabra in two sets, 6-3, 6-3, to win the championship against his teammate.

Dubouch had a bye in the round of 32 since he came into the tournament as the 6-seed, and had to win in three sets in the round of 16 and quarterfinals, before winning in straight sets in the semi-finals and championship. Fabra on the other hand came all the way from the round of 32 and won every single set he played in until the championship match.

The mens tennis team will split up next weekend, as part of the team will compete at the SMU Invitational while the others will compete at the Princeton Invitational. Both tournaments will take place on Nov. 1 and 2.
