NEW ORLEANS, La. - The Memphis volleyball team started conference play out right by picking up their first road win of the season against Tulane Friday night in New Orleans.

The match was competitive and very close, especially the first three sets, all of which were at one point tied 24-24. In similar fashion to the Chattanooga, Lamar, and UT Martin games, Memphis lost the first set 26-24, to go on to win the following three. They won the next two sets with the same score of 26-24, and a third more commanding set win at 25-20 to cement the win.

Zaniah Hoskins continues to be the leading kill contributor with star Amanda Hardt mending an injury, and she did quite a job putting up 18 kills and 13 digs. There were also large contributions from Janyah Henderson who posted 11 kills good for second most on the team, and Abigail Schlueter who posted a game best 20 digs.

This Sunday, Memphis looks to stay undefeated at home against Wichita State in the Elma Roane Fieldhouse at 1 p.m. CT. The match will be available to watch on ESPN+.
