Two Tigers guard the net in Memphis' 3-1 victory over Chattanooga Thursday night at Elma Roane Fieldhouse in the first game of the Carrie Yerty Classic.

Memphis volleyball improved to 6-2 on the season with a four-set victory over Lamar in the second game of the Carrie Yerty Classic at Elma Roane Fieldhouse Friday night.

In what has become a theme this season, Memphis lost the first set 25-23. However, the Tigers responded with three consecutive set victories. Memphis won the second set 25-18, the third set 25-23 and the fourth, and final set, 25-14.

Amanda Hardt led the way for the Tigers once again, with 27 kills. Hardt has had 20 or more kills three times this season. The win also improves Memphis to 5-0 at home, their best start at home since the 2019 season.

The Tigers will look to keep their dominance at Elma Roane Fieldhouse going Saturday afternoon when they play UT Martin at 3 p.m. CT. The game will be streamed on ESPN+.
