University of Memphis Athletic Director Ed Scott made several updates public regarding the Athletic Department on Wednesday during a University of Memphis board of trustees meeting.
Scott announced that the renovation to Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium is on track with $32.8 million of the goal $50 million in funds already raised. He also announced two new renovation plans for the stadium, a surround sound system and new lighting.
Scott told the board that nearly 200 athletes had signed revenue sharing contracts with the school, including "roughly 43" athletes who have signed a revenue sharing contract and other NIL deals.
Since Memphis' $200 million offer to join the Big 12 conference, the Athletic Department has continued to make strides in providing the funds to thrive in college athletics in 2025 and beyond.
