Memphis Women's Basketball traveled to Tulsa to take on the Golden Hurricane in an effort to generate some momentum going into the back half of the season. They would be unsuccessful in their efforts, falling 64-57. The game was always within reach for the Tigers, as neither team led by more than 10 at any point.

The Tigers' biggest reason for the loss was inefficiency on offense; they shot just 34.3% from the field and less than 25% from three. Despite forcing 23 Tulsa turnovers, the Tigers were only able to muster 17 points off of those chances. The offensive struggle also carried over to the charity stripe, where Memphis went 7-17 for the game at the line and went 2-7 in the last five minutes while they were in the bonus.

Although this is a tough loss to take, there were certainly positive aspects about this game. The Tigers allowed the second fewest points in any game this season while forcing 20+ giveaways for the fourth game in a row.

Another positive for Memphis were individual performances by their big three. Tilly Boler, DeeDee Hagemann, and Alasia Smith all finished in double digits in scoring and combined for 45 of the team's 57 points. Smith also grabbed 13 boards, two steals, and three blocks for her sixth double-double of the season.

The Tigers are back home for their first game of the spring semester against Charlotte at 7:00 PM in Elma Roane Fieldhouse.
