Rawls Hall residents struck with pepper spray

Two Rawls Hall residents were seen flushing their eyes in a bathroom on Sept. 3, according to a police report by officer Castell Jordan. The residents told a staff member that they had been sprayed with pepper spray after an argument with an acquaintance in the parking lot. According to the report, the acquaintance sprayed the pepper spray into the female victim’s car striking the victim and her female passenger. The female suspect left before officers were called.

Missing Xbox from South Hall

A 21-year-old male advised that his Xbox One gaming console was missing from his dorm room in South Hall on Sept. 6, according to a police report by officer William Skinner. The victim left his dorm at 8 a.m. and he returned to his dorm at 1 p.m. He advised that nothing else appeared to be missing, according to the report. The victim advised that his doors were locked and the only other access to his dorm room was through a shared bathroom. There is no suspect information, according to the report.

Motor Vehicle Burglary on Southern Avenue

A 24-year-old advised that on Sept. 5 an unknown suspect pried his driver’s side door in Lot 17 of Patterson South and attempted to take the vehicle’s radio, according to a police report by officer Kelly Straub. Damage was caused to the victim’s dashboard and a bag of golf clubs was taken, according to the report. A screwdriver was recovered from the front seat passenger side that was tagged into U of M property/ evidence locker. The victim’s vehicle was unlocked, according to the report.
