Sallie will not play at Louisville

Former Memphis player Roburt Sallie will not play at Louisville.

Coach Rick Pitino said Friday that Sallie did not meet the admission requirements for graduate school and will not join the Cardinals for the 2010-11 season.

Sallie, who averaged 10.5 points and 4.0 rebounds for Memphis last season, was expected to compete for the starting shooting guard spot.

He had planned to complete his bachelor's degree at Memphis then attend graduate school at Louisville.

Pitino said he was "disappointed" and wished Sallie well.

The school also announced that signee Justin Coleman did not meet his academic requirements.

The 6-foot-5 forward from Huntington (WV) Prep averaged 20.3 points and 7.4 rebounds last season.
