Domestic dispute on campus

During spring break, an officer responded to a fight call at 3641 Central Avenue. The victim was pregnant with the defendant's child.

When the officer arrived on the scene there was a witness who told the officer that a male was dragging a female into a vehicle in the parking lot. The witness stated the male was screaming and shoving the female.

The officer heard yelling coming from a 1998 green Ford Taurus. The officer told the driver to open the door. When the driver opened the door, the officer could see the female passenger was bleeding from the face. The driver Eric Jeron Jones, known as Andre, was removed from the vehicle and taken into custody. The victim was provided with medical attention on the scene and refused transportation to hospital.

The victim said the defendant had hit her in the face causing her nose to bleed. Victim said they were fighting over something "silly" when she was hit. Andre told police he struck the victim in the face because she called him for a ride to work. When he came to pick up the victim, she changed her mind and told him she did not want a ride.
