The Tigers pitching staff continues to add more players for 2008, as baseball head coach Daron Schoenrock announced the signing of DeSoto Central pitcher Ben Paullus Wednesday afternoon. This comes as an effort to rebuild the bullpen after losing four pitchers to the 2008 Major League Baseball Draft earlier this summer.

Conference USA announced it's Preseason All-Conference Team and Preseason Coaches Poll, the league office announced Wednesday. Junior wide receiver Duke Calhoun and senior offensive tackle Brandon Pearce were named to C-USA's All-Conference First Team. Calhoun, 6-4, led the Tigers in receiving last season with 890 yards and five touchdowns on 62 receptions.
