While some coaches scramble to replace these players during "rebuilding years," men's basketball Coach John Calipari isn't so worried.

And there's one more. She wants people to leave out "Lady" in "Lady Tigers" when referring to her team.

The Lady Tigers basketball team has a new woman calling the shots. Melissa McFerrin steps in as head coach of the Lady Tigers, a team desperately in need of a fresh beginning. As the fourth coach in the program's history, she's preparing to rewrite the record books of the struggling women's team.

Tiger fans may be surprised at what they see when the new-look Pierre Henderson-Niles takes the court for the Tigers this season. At the end of last season, Henderson-Niles weighed 350 lbs., but diet and exercise during the offseason have dropped him to 299.

He didn't know how much work it would take, especially before the season even started. "The first week - if I had to describe it in one word, it'd be hectic," said the 6-foot-8 freshman swingman.
