Vandalism
On 11/01/08 at 1:25 a.m., an officer responded to a vandalism complaint at 3582 Midland. A resident said an upstairs window was broken out when someone threw a bottle into it from outside.
On 11/04/08 at 4:01 p.m., an officer observed a window at the Fieldhouse had been broken out, apparently from the interior. Nothing appeared missing. Physical Plant was notified.
On 11/13/08 at 5:07 p.m., an officer responded to a vandalism complaint in the Central Lot. A student said between 10 a.m. on 11/12/08 and 6:15 a.m. on 11/13/08, someone keyed her vehicle.
On 11/18/08 at 1 p.m., an officer responded to a vandalism complaint in the Central Lot. A student said she parked at 9:40 a.m. and returned at 11:40 a.m., to find her lock punched. Nothing was missing from the vehicle.
On 11/25/08 at 6:27 p.m., an officer responded to a vandalism call in the Central Lot. A student said that between 4:30 and 6 p.m., someone threw a brick through his rear window and cut his tires.
Theft
On 11/03/08 at 10:26 a.m., an officer responded to a theft at Richardson Towers. A student said that between 10/31/08 and 11/03/08, someone removed his bicycle from the bike rack.
On 11/06/08 at 6:45 p.m., an officer responded to a theft complaint in the music building. A student said she left her purse unattended in a practice room and returned to find items missing.
On 11/08/2008 at 12:33 p.m., an officer responded to a theft complaint. A student said that she left a laptop unattended in a hall at Smith Chemistry on 10/28/08. When she returned, it was gone.
On 11/10/08 at 11:56 a.m., an officer responded to a theft complaint at the Lipman School. A woman said she left her purse on a shelf unattended and returned to find items missing from the purse.
On 11/20/08 at 1:22 a.m., an officer responded to a theft in Smith Chemistry. A student left a flash drive unattended in the computer lab and returned to find it missing.
On 11/21/08 at 2:26 p.m., an officer responded to the Tiger Den on a theft complaint. A student said he placed cash on his table, looked away for a moment, and someone took it.
On 11/21/08 at 4:21 p.m., an officer responded to Richardson Towers on a theft complaint. A student said between 10/25/08 and 10/28/08, someone took his bicycle from the rack in front of the building.
On 11/25/08 at 10:22 a.m., an officer responded to the bookstore on a theft complaint. A faculty member said that he left his cell phone at the café. He returned after realizing he had left it, but the phone was gone.
Theft from Motor Vehicle
On 11/18/08 at 5:09 p.m., an officer responded to a theft from vehicle complaint on the Park Avenue campus. A student said she parked at 1:40 p.m. and returned at 5 p.m. to find her window broken out and her backpack missing.
Burglary
On 11/10/08 at 1:39 p.m., an officer responded to a burglary complaint at the Wilson School/Holiday Inn. A guest reported items missing from her room. She told the officer the theft took place between 11/01 at 10 p.m. and 11/02 at 7 a.m.
On 11/11/08 at 2:53 p.m., an officer responded to a burglary call at Johnson Hall. A faculty member said she left her office unattended for a few minutes. When she returned, she found her bag was missing.
On 11/14/08 at 7:57 a.m., an officer responded to a burglary call on the Park Avenue campus. A staff member said a storage building had been broken into with several items missing. In addition, two vehicles were damaged, but no items were taken from the vehicles.
On 11/17/08 at 10:39 a.m., an officer responded to a burglary complaint at Richardson Towers. A resident said he entered his room and found an unknown man inside. The man mentioned finding keys, set them down and left. The roommate said his keys went missing on 11/07/08.
Simple Assault
On 11/17/08 at 7:10 p.m., officers responded to Richardson Towers on an assault complaint. A staff member said a man had shoved her and was causing a disturbance. Upon arrival, officers found the suspect cursing at people in the lobby. He was charged with assault, disorderly conduct and public intoxication and taken to jail.
On 11/22/08 at 10:13 p.m., officers responded to a fight on the Park Avenue campus. Upon arrival, officers found two women in an altercation. The parties were separated. One was charged with assault and taken to Juvenile Court.
Assault (Intimidation)
On 11/03/08 at 10:30 p.m., an officer responded to a walk in complaint. A student said she was receiving threatening messages from an ex-boyfriend.
On 11/05/08 at 4:38 p.m., an officer responded to an assault intimidation call in the Central Lot. A student said a driver followed him into the lot and verbally threatened him. The complainant said this began with a traffic altercation with the other driver.
On 11/17/08 at 12:32 p.m., an officer responded to an assault intimidation complaint in Lot 32 on Patterson. A parking assistant said a man threatened him while he was writing citations.
Fraud
On 11/04/08 at 2:02 p.m., an officer responded to an ID theft complaint in the Carpenter Complex. A resident said between 10/20/08 and 11/01/08, someone made unauthorized charges on his credit/debit card.
Drug Offense
On 11/25/08 at 10:15 p.m., an officer responded to Rawls Hall on a drug complaint. A staff member said there a man hanging around who smelled of marijuana. The man was located and admitted to using drugs. No contraband was found on his person. He was issued a trespass citation and escorted off campus.
All Other Offenses
On 11/19/08 at 5:03 a.m., a security guard saw a suspicious man in the law school and summoned officers. The man was found and identified has having been previously on trespass status. He was charged with criminal trespassing and taken to jail.
