Two suspects arrested for robberies near campus

Memphis Police arrested two suspects yesterday in connection with the string of robberies south of campus.

Although the pair haven't been formally charged, police said they were questioning the subjects about the case.

Police, who have at least three suspect descriptions, said the investigation is ongoing.

Seven people, including one University of Memphis graduate student, have been robbed in four incidents in The U of M area since Sept. 17, which prompted a University safety alert on Tuesday.
